Of course power efficiency is key to commercial grow operations where whatever crops you are growing then more GPW is what you are always trying to achieve, it therefore follows that the more efficient your lamp in its PPF and SPD the greater your GPW will become.

Osram SSL Horticultural LED

With Osram led's every diode can be guaranteed to hit the exact wavelength and bandwidth that are needed for optimal photosynthesis as they are specifically designed for horticulture.

With the Osram led’s that we are using they are designed to be on for long periods of time and have a lifespan of double a normal led at a staggering 100,000 hours with very minimal drop in output over time of less than 1% per year with our cooling system.

In fact these led’s are so good that they are guaranteed to never drop below 25% of their overall output within their lifespan.

So with a combination of 6 different osram diodes in our custom ratio we create a perfect multi spectrum for growh and bloom giving you a one light fits all solution to simplify your indoor medical grow areas.

Different ratios can be ordered for custom projects for where our standard ratio is not suitable.

Designed, Tested and Manufactured in the UK

We design all our lamps from the ground up here in our base in North Wales and we source primarily UK manufacturers for components and raw materials.

Our lamps are then manufactured to exacting standard by Marl International (www.leds.co.uk) in Cumbria.

One of the reasons we picked Marl to manufacture our PCB and lamps is simply that they are the best that Europe has to offer and have been working in the led industry since 1970.

With highly skilled and conscientious staff at every level of their business they truly work as one large family all focused on led perfection, couple this with their state of the art SMT centre running three complete production line SMT systems and the end results is truly exceptional.

Every step of every process is documented and tested thoroughly to comply with ISO 9001, CE, ROHS and CUL / UL legislations ensuring a 100% safe and quality end result. For example every single board that is produced for us is then tested in a purpose built jig to ensure high quality standards and then each board in each batch is allocated and assessed individually before being signed off by an experienced operator.

Truly Outstanding

I have been a budmaster user since the beginning , Having the original XG then the 2nd version of the XG 9 The original OD 9 before new chassis and heat sinks, and I also have the new GOD 9 with all new modifications. Truly outstanding bits of kit . Iam from a horticultural background and have worked in the industry for quite a few years now and have had my fair share of different products in different environments..
Firstly, immediately what is noticeable when using the OD is that Yields are dramatically increased due to the amounts of plant useable light emitted by all the Budmaster range, yields have climbed to at least 15-30% compared to my old ways of using HPS, also oil production is greatly maximised due to the specifically correct wavelengths being emitted and high levels of PAR (Photo synthetically Active Radiation which is plant usable light, unlike LUMENS which everyone is so easily mislead to believing that it is important in terms light efficiency/light absorption for correct plant cell development and optimum plant growth).

HPS and MH lights which tend to have a lot of wasted light and decreased levels of usable light (PAR) at greater distances or even showing a rapid decrease in light efficiency and maximum power output can be noticed dropping after only a years use. Unlike the Budmasters that have very little power drop in that time.
These correct wavelengths that are being emitted by the Budmaster XG OD GOD are absorbed efficiently by the plant, thus bringing out the best potential for your medicinal plants not just on a cellular/structural level but even things as noticeable as visually witnessing maximum Oil content, things such as earlier harvests than you are usually used to due to fruit/buds usually ripening and swelling faster. Terpenes (flavours and aromas) are also greatly increased and more prolific and complex.

I have done side by side comparison experiments with exact same conditions using 3 different rooms all with the exact same clinical schedule for things such as propagation timetables, feeding times/amounts and transplanting regimes, same medium same nutrients, same container size, same room size/dimensions, same environments( air extraction/exchange and humidity levels, same temps, same inoculations via mycho and Actively aerated compost teas (AACT) using organic biodynamic feeding times ... using all the same techniques mentioned above, for all three environments the only difference was the type of additional lighting used......

Comparing 2 X Brand new best selling 600 HPS and 2X of the hottest new hi tech digital ballasts ( saying no manufacturers or brands during this)........ 2 X 400 W HPS red spectrum with additional 600W Plasma lighting .......... and the last room was 1X Budmaster XG 9... 1X Budmaster OD 9 and the XG and OD blew the others clear out of the water 10/10 for vegetative growth, and rapid plant development, tight intermodal spacing, 10/10 for fruit density, ripeness/maturity , Oil content, yields, energy consumption, prevention of excess heat build up..
This can be a double edged sword depending on growers specifications, Example is if you actually need your HPS lights for extra/additional heat, because the Budmasters naturally run quite cool in comparison so will not need excess heat extraction, but on the flipside the budmasters will also not be as efficient as heating up rooms in the winter which require it( maybe use additional heating such as oil filled radiators) , unlike their HPS and MH counterparts which heat rooms well in winter/colder months .. This is the only downfall to these lights and it is also worth having a regular clean every other cycle just to keep dust build up at bay , dust and debris can build up due to the high speed cooling fans but this is a minor flaw in an otherwise exquisite product that all should try... 100% rate the whole budmaster team and their products, 100% reliable, 100% genuine, 100% customer care/service , their professional approach from day one and their maximum product knowledge is immediately evident when searching through their products or when they are replying to queries.. Budmaster products and the whole team are top notch these guys will look after you and help with any queries, questions or dramas from start to end .. Many have converted now its time for you

Incredible results

Had 2 x 600w hps in a 1.2 x 2.4 tent, swithced to 2 x GOD-9 and now I am getting 6 ounces more bone dry harvest than before

These lights really do pay for themselves fast.

Here at Budmaster LED we design our lights with the grower and the space they are trying to cover in mind. For example all of our Budmaster lamps are specifically designed to fit certain common grow tent areas such as 120cm x 120cm x 200cm.

Using effective vertical penetration with our custom lens we ensure the target area has effective PPFD levels whilst minimizing reflectance from the surrounding area to increase efficiency by up to 10%

We generally recommend that your plants grow no closer than 2ft to the light to make best use of the output, however strong healthy plants can grow right into the light with very little adverse effect on the plants.

To get the right amount of light to your plants at the right time consult the chart below.

Measuring Average PPFD

You will see many companies displaying PPFD reading from a quantum meter on their websites either via a central point measurement or a PPFD grid.

Quantum / PPFD meters are not a very accurate way of ascertaining average PPFD levels but are intended for doing basic field measurements of a single point which is not indicative of your overall PPFD.

If the spectral power distribution (SPD) of a light source is known across the relevant wavelengths (400-700 nm), then the amount of photosynthetic energy available to plants can be determined.

Based on its SPD, a light source will have a conversion factor that can be used to translate luminous flux density (illuminance) received by the plant into photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD), in μmol/s-m2.

Getting the Right Average PPFD for Your Environment

It is of course very important that you use your lamps in the best way possible to get the most out of your grow room, with that in mind please refer to the guide for recommendations on the hanging distance of our lamps.

Of course you may find that by adding additional carbon dioxide you can increase the amount of available light to your plants.
